Ian's last day of school was today. I didn't think I'd be emotional, but Ian's teacher was so emotional it made me tear up! They did some really cute projects, like a laminated book that has pictures of him playing with his friends and doing his favorite projects so he can remember his days in pre-K, and they also put together sand buckets full of goodies for the kids, like word-find books and flashcards. Ms. Maria was so sweet and remembered that Ian has a hard time rhyming, so she got him some rhyming flash cards!
I was up at 5:30am finishing their hand-made thank you gifts. I got Ms. Maria a "memories" photo album that holds 4X6 pictures. I bought 4X6 index cards and had Ian draw pictures of his favorite things that they did in class. I then wrote why he liked it, and it was so cute! He had things like, "I liked when you brought in apples because they tasted sort of good and tasty," LOL! I also made some hand-made peppermint truffles for them and put them in decorative boxes. That was fun to do- I got scrapbook paper designed like those black and white composition books and covered the boxes in that, then put the truffles inside.
I can't believe I have a Kindergartner!
