I just read in the Tampa Tribune that they are considering salary cuts for State workers. That would me a 4-5% cut for people making $27,500 and above, and a 1% cut for those making $100,000 or more. I find that amazing, considering the fact that $27,500 will hardly keep a family of 1 afloat nowadays. I understand that they have to trim it from somewhere, but how about bumping that bar up a bit and taking a bigger cut from those making six digits? Can't the people who have been living large come down a few steps, or have they really become so greedy that they can't stand to bring in a little bit less for a while?
