Tomorrow I have an appointment to see a summer camp with Ian. I'm pretty excited because it sounds like a great place and it's super close to where I live. They have "theme Fridays" where they'll be celebrating Halloween, Christmas in July... It's expensive, but I think it will be worth it.

People are funny. I sometimes wonder, when I hear them bitching, if they know how silly they sound. I'm all about venting and releasing frustration, but when someone takes the time to complain for hours and then behave is a way that makes what they were bitching about obsolete, well, it makes me wonder why they're upset and wasting emotions on it in the first place. I'm beginning to think that a lot of it may be drawn out by jealousy...

I'm almost ready to take my skill assessment. I'm nervous though because I have to bring my GPA back up to at least a 93%! Ugh, I hate the pressure!

Ian had Karate last night. Unfortunately I don't think he's going to make his belt this time around. They're testing late in May, and he definitely did NOT get the coaching he needed. The instructor they were supposed to have was out with an injury so the owner stepped in, and his control over the class was less than impressive. The original Sensi is back now so Ian is finally learning a thing or two, but he's not "there" yet.

I'm going to have to find out what class day they're going to be doing their testing. I refuse to have him go and be so disappointed.

I'm still smarting over the score I got on my last transcription test. I didn't fail, but I only passed by the skin of my teeth. What angers me the most is that, if I retook the stupid thing and scored in the 90's, my averaged score would be more than what I have. How is that fair?

What a great day! My niece had her first Holy Communion today, so I spent the whole day with my family. Sean wasn't there, and he missed out!

The day started out a bit rocky here because Ian couldn't find his video game (I was going to let him play it with the sound off), and Reilly didn't get a nap as usual. There was a lot of yelling (from me and Ian), and a lot of tears (from Ian and Roo), but we made it to the Church on time.

The service was an hour long. At first I was annoyed because I had to sit alone, and the fear of how the boys (4 boys under 7) were going to behave had me on edge, but they were all fantastic! Ian even went to the front for a blessing, and he was excited because he was touched by the Holy Water.

After that we all went to lunch at Maggiano's on Westshore. Again, I was nervous about how 7 kids were going to behave, but I was pleasantly surprised. After one minor mishap with Roo's bottle it was smooth sailing the rest of the way. I was even able to enjoy 2 glasses of wine and a creme brule!

Once we got home it was nap time. Then dinner and baths, then it was sushi time for me.

I'm just sad that it's time for the work week to begin again. Back to the grind!
