We're up and getting ready for Ian and Roo's party. We have a TON of food, and we filled the Piñatas last night. I lost the temporary tattoos I got for the kids, but everything else I seem to have remembered. I am so excited for today! The weather is going to be beautiful, and we have about 45 people who plan to be there to celebrate the day with us.
Two things are bugging me through- people who don't bother to let me know if they're coming or not even after a reminder email and then an email to beg for a response, and the fact that someone I dislike VERY MUCH is coming. I didn't even know they had been invited until Sean told me on Thursday.... Usually I can be civil to someone if I'm forced to see them, but this person doesen't even deserve that, so I'm planing to just igonre them unitl they go away. They put me on "ignore" on their Facebook page, so turn about is fair play! Saturday, October 4

OK my Tampa Florida friends, listen up! If you're looking for a bargain you have GOT to go to ALDI. I head about it on the news and we decided to go today to check it out.
When we first got there I was a bit surprised because I was fully expecting it to be rundown looking and the clientele somewhat, er, less than desirable. Yes, a crappy ideation, but I know the area well and I am very familiar with the residents there as well. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised! The place was clean and a bit smaller than I had imagined, and there were no people just 'hanging out' in the front. Yay! So, we paid a quarter for our cart, grabbed the canvas bags we had, and in we went. For such a small looking place, they sure had a lot of things inside! Juices, cereal, meat, veggies, crackers, dairy products... We bought milk, meats, cheese, veggies, juice and cereal for Ian, snacks, canned goods, chips and other snack items, frozen pizza, bananas, drinks for us, pasta and sauces. I mentally totaled up what was in the cart and figured that if we had been in either of the other two supermarkets we usually go to it would have been about $120 before we were done, so was I ever thrilled when it came to $57.62!!!!!! I was so excited! Really, the only downside was that there was no organic food there, but I can easily get my organic stuff once a week. That will help me save money too so I don't get swayed into buying other things when I go to the store every three days! Does this mean I'm old now? I've never been so excited about a regular grocery store opening... Thursday, October 25

I often wonder about Beverly Hills cosmetic surgery and the the things the doctors must know about the people we see on TV and in the movies. I wonder what sorts of information they have about the stars, like who has lopsided breasts and who had moles removed from their butts. It would kill me to keep quiet about information like that because I love knowing that these people who are portrayed as 'perfection' have physical things they don't like about themselves, just like the rest of us do! If I were to get cosmetic surgery I know exactly what procedures I'd have done. I've thought a lot about it and I think that, within the next year, I'll have one of them scheduled. I've wanted to get it done for over three years now and Sean agrees with me, so I may just do it! Wednesday, August 22

In searching the Internet for topics that have nothing to do with what I am writing about, I stumbled upon this wonderful news! Ferris Bueller's Day Off is going to have a sequel! Yes, a finished script for Ferris Beuller 2: Another Day Off is being 'shopped' in Hollywood. How exciting would that be? I don't think anyone who grew up in the '80's could ever forget that movie. I doubt there's an '80's movie trivia game that doesn't have a question relating to the movie, and let's face it: We all quote it! How many times have I mimicked Ben Stein's classic line of "Bueller?... Bueller?" when my son is completely ignoring the sound of my voice? *sigh* I hope this one makes it- And I'd love to see all of the original actors return! |
