What a great day! We had a lazy start because Roo took at 3 hour nap this morning, but then we went to the Florida Aquarium to meet up with some friends. We didn't even bother with the exhibits but went right for the water area. The boys played for about 2 hours while we sat around under the fans and water misters and drank beer.

Then we decided a nice dinner of wings and beer sounded good. Sean and I came home, we all showered (including Ian and Roo), and then we met up at Honey's. The boys played in the game room and the adults (and Roo) hung out and talked. After about an hour we decided on what we wanted to eat and drink, and we stayed for about 3 hours. We killed 2 beer towers (I think I had one all by myself), and by then the men were getting restless so we decided to say our good-byes.

What a great day. I was able to cut loose and really enjoy myself!

I met my friend for coffee this morning. It's Ian's last day of camp, so I figured I'd better enjoy my adult-only (well, adult-only-and-Roo time) while I have it! It was nice to chat and catch up, to talk about everything serious and frivolous at the same time, and to have so much laughter. Just what the doctor ordered I think!

What an amazing day!

I got up with Roo around 7am and we had some breakfast. I read the paper and drank coffee while the kids played, then I went to the gym at around 9:30am. I had about an hour workout, then hit the store for some much needed hair products. I came home, showered, and then we dropped Roo off at my parents so we could go to Ian's BFF's birthday party at Legends Field.

We got there early, so Ian was able to see the players warm up. They all left the field except for 1 player, so we decided to wander around the facility. As we were leaving we heard, "Hey! Hey kid!" We turned around and the player tossed Ian a ball over the fence. It was SO cute! Ian even ran over to the fence and told him "thank you," and the player gave him a smile and a wave.

We had the birthday party in a private room, then we watched the game. The kids all got balls signed and then got to play some games on the field during the inning breaks.

On the way home we stopped and got some dinner to bring home, then we all hung out and watched Men In Black together. Roo fell asleep at around 7pm, and I'm planning to head in myself!
